In order to become licensed to sell real estate in the state of Maryland, the candidate must be at least 18 years of age and complete 60 hours of real estate instruction from a state accredited school. The Weichert Real Estate School offers the Principles and Practices of Real Estate course to satisfy the 60-hour requirement. After successfully completing the course with a passing grade, candidates are required to pass a national and state exam administered by PSI. Candidates have one year from their class date to take and pass both portions of the PSI exam. Failure to do so requires the candidate to repeat the 60-hour Principles and Practices course. Candidates must apply for their real estate license within one year of passing the PSI exam.
Please refer to the Maryland Real Estate Commission website for any additional information or state requirements.
